Penang Lor Bak Cookies


‘Lor Bak’ in Penang is what Singaporeans call ‘Ngoh Hiang’, also known as a five-spiced pork roll. This little cookie packs a punch with its full flavours of Five-Spice, which is essentially fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and peppercorns. Wrapped in ‘tau kee’ or beancurd skin, this is a crispy and addictively moreish snack.
